Dear Fellow Boaters,
What a great summer! Wonderful wind for sailing, not too hot, comfortable temperatures to work in and that is just what we did.
Typically, the latter half of July and all of August is slow but not this year. Great brokerage boat movement and upgrades. Steady work on a Bertram 31, 45′ Little Harbor Yawl and the Hood 32 production, kept us on our toes.
News for the Hood 32 friends… Presently, we are working on 3 orders that will be delivered next Spring. The Panerai Classic Race series saw our hull #1, “Dream”, place very well in the series with Dr. Chris Morse at the helm.
In other news, we are repowering a classic 24′ Lyman runabout to be used as an excursion boat at the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester. Also, a 1999 Wasque 26 for a repeat customer.
Lastly, we are building the epoxy and carbon fiber hull for our new 26′ runabout. we want to be on the forefront of all the electric power! The design is capable of 50 mph and will not suffer from “range anxiety”. I call it the “Sempre-Verdi” project, meaning evergreen in Italian. I suspect this is a fitting moniker. We will be providing updates throughout the Fall season.
